All roads lead to the country’s ultimate summer getaway as 24 teams (12 team men’s & 12 team women’s) from 12 Colleges and Universities turn up the heat at City of Tagum will once again be the “home” in the 2009 Beach Volley National Circuit ‘09 Mindanao Eliminations.

Organized by Local Government of Tagum – City Sports Office (CSO) with its Sports Action Officer Councilor De Carlo “Oyo” Uy, Nestle Philippines (NP), Mindworks Concepts and Volleyworks (MCV), Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF), Beach Volleyball Federation of the Philippines (BVFP) with the Local PVF Chapters – Tagum City Volleyball Association (TACVA) and the event is held in Tagum’s finest Only permanent Beach Volley Drome in Asia.
The opening and elimination rounds will start from March 26 to 28, 2009 at Tagum City Beach Volley Drome, Rotary Park, City of Tagum. The participating schools and colleges are; Agusan Institute of Technology, Ateneo de Davao University, Capitol University- Cagayan de Oro City, DMMA College of Southern Philippines, Jose Maria College, Holy Cross of Davao College, Mindanao University of Tawi-Tawi, Mindanao State University -Marawi City Main, Mahardika Institute of Technology- Tawi-Tawi, University of Minadanao – Davao, University of Mindanao-Tagum and Xavier University. The top 6 winning teams (3 for men & 3 for women) in this event will receive a full paid accommodation going to Boracay Island for the finals, said by Ms. Mabel Manulat – TACVA President.

For the record, schedule of elimination leg for Luzon was held last March 4 to 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Bay Area Manila followed by the Mindanao qualifying rounds from March 26 to 28 at City of Tagum and for Visayas base wrap it up from April 16 to 18 at the Mandaue City, Cebu.

From the eliminations top 6 winning teams in each leg will be advanced to the National Finals slated from May 6 to 9 in Boracay Island with the champ taking home P 100,000.00 each, second placer gets P 65,000.00 each and the third grabs P 35,000.00 each. (ebl/ CIO Tagum)
